IT Classes
We have supported educational institutions such as Wolverhampton College to help people develop their digital literacy in a supportive, community based environment. By promoting their sessions and arranging local venues, we make it easier for individuals who may not be able to attend formal college settings to access high quality digital learning. In addition,
ConGens has joined the council’s digital device and data sharing scheme, enabling us to distribute Chromebooks and dongles to eligible individuals. This ensures that people not only gain digital skills but also have the equipment and connectivity they need to put those skills into practice.
Our IT classes provide practical, accessible digital support for people in the community who want to build confidence and improve their computer skills. Through our computer workshops, participants learn essential skills such as browsing the internet, using email, completing online shopping, and navigating everyday digital tasks that help them stay connected and independent. We also delivered a dedicated course on getting the most from a smartphone, which participants found particularly valuable as it helped them understand features they use daily but had never fully explored.
