Built around your business

E-commerce website design for a clearer shopping journey.

People need enough information to feel comfortable buying. Clear categories, useful product details, good images and easy-to-find delivery information all contribute to that decision. I plan the store around the questions customers ask before placing an order.

Whether you are launching your first shop or improving an existing store, we look at your products, customers and day-to-day processes. The aim is a coherent journey from discovery to checkout, supported by an approach you can manage.

I work with Shopify, WooCommerce and Magento according to the project. Based in the West Midlands, I support independent retailers and small businesses across the UK.

How I can help

Consider the whole
shopping experience.

We agree what the shop needs at launch and which features can come later. The detail depends on your products, platform and fulfilment process.

01

Shop structure & collections

I help organise categories, collections, navigation and useful filters around the way customers browse. Products should have a clear place rather than sit in an unstructured catalogue.

02

Product pages & content

Layouts make room for photographs, descriptions, variants, specifications and practical buying information. We agree how product data and images will be supplied and entered.

03

Basket & checkout journeys

I review the steps between choosing a product and placing an order, including mobile use. Available checkout changes depend on the platform, plan and payment provider.

04

Payments, delivery & orders

Suitable payment options, delivery rules and order notifications are configured to the agreed requirements. Your business supplies or approves shipping, tax and customer policy decisions.

05

Useful store connections

Email tools, stock systems, booking tools or other integrations are considered where needed. We identify any app costs, technical limits and access requirements before committing.

06

Launch & store management

Products, links, emails and key order scenarios are checked before launch. Handover covers the agreed tasks, such as editing products, reviewing orders or updating collections.

A practical approach

Choose the store
that suits the business.

Shopify can suit businesses that want a hosted commerce platform. WooCommerce brings selling into a WordPress website. Magento may be relevant where catalogue or operational requirements need a more involved setup.

I help compare the options against the work you need to do: managing products, taking payment, handling orders and connecting other systems. The conversation includes ongoing platform, app, hosting and development costs.

Moving an existing store needs its own plan. Product and customer data, old page addresses, order history and integrations are reviewed before we agree what can be migrated and how the change will be checked.

Working together

A clear process.
From the first email.

We agree the work and keep the next step clear. No technical brief is needed to start the conversation.

01

Map the shop

We review the catalogue, audience, delivery approach and order workflow, then agree the platform and launch requirements.

02

Design the journey

Navigation, collections and product layouts are planned together, with space for the information customers need before buying.

03

Build & populate

I configure the agreed store features and add or import the agreed product content. We review important integrations and settings.

04

Test & hand over

We check representative orders, emails and mobile journeys using suitable test methods, then plan launch and store management.

Before we begin

A practical launch plan.
With the details agreed.

Your proposal defines the platform, product volume, features, integrations and testing. Payment fees, platform subscriptions, apps, photography and specialist integrations may add costs. Your business approves prices, tax settings and policies; any specialist legal or accounting advice remains separate.

A useful first email

Share your existing shop if you have one, the kind and approximate number of products, the countries you want to sell to and any delivery or stock systems you already use.

Useful answers

A little more clarity
before you enquire.

Have a different question? Tell me what you need help with and I’ll point you towards the next step.

Ask me a question
Which platform should I choose?

It depends on your catalogue, budget, existing website and operational needs. I review those first and explain the practical differences between a suitable Shopify, WooCommerce or Magento approach.

Can you improve my current online shop?

Yes. A focused review can identify problems with navigation, product information, mobile layouts or the buying journey. You may need specific improvements rather than a complete rebuild.

Can you upload or migrate my products?

Yes, where agreed in the scope. The product count, variants, image quality and available source data affect the work. Existing customer and order data need a separate migration and checking plan.

Will you write my delivery and returns policies?

I can help place and organise policy content on the site. Your business needs to supply or approve the actual terms and obtain specialist advice where required.

Will the shop work on mobile?

Mobile browsing and buying are part of the agreed design and testing. Third-party checkout, app and payment interfaces also depend on the providers and your platform plan.

Will a new shop guarantee more sales?

No website can promise sales. I focus on clear product information and a usable shopping journey. Demand, prices, delivery, marketing and customer service also affect performance.
