Page planning & navigation
I organise your services, information and menus into a structure people can follow. We identify the essential pages and give each one a clear purpose.
Website design for small businesses that want a clear, distinctive online presence. I plan and build websites that help visitors understand your services and take the next step.
A visitor should not have to piece your business together. Your website needs to say who you help, explain your services and give people a clear next step. I bring the layout, navigation and content together so the whole experience feels considered.
You might be launching a new business, moving beyond a DIY website or updating a design that no longer reflects your work. I help you decide what to keep, what to improve and where a fresh approach will make the biggest difference.
You work directly with me from the first email through to the final checks. I’m based in the West Midlands and work remotely with small businesses throughout the UK.
The design is planned around your goals, content and budget. We agree the pages and features before the build begins.
I organise your services, information and menus into a structure people can follow. We identify the essential pages and give each one a clear purpose.
Colours, typography, spacing and imagery come together in a consistent visual direction. I can work with your existing branding or help establish a suitable website style.
The layout adapts across phones, tablets and larger screens, with readable content, practical navigation and buttons that are easy to use.
I help structure headings, service explanations and calls to action. We agree whether you will supply finished copy or need help shaping and adding the content.
Enquiry forms, project galleries, booking links and other relevant features are considered around the way you work. Integrations are scoped before they are added.
Image sizes, page titles, headings, links and key journeys are checked as part of the agreed build. Readability, keyboard use and sensible loading times inform the design.
The best platform is one that fits both the website and the person looking after it. WordPress is a particular focus of my work. I also support Shopify, Magento and GoDaddy, depending on the project.
We consider the content you need to manage, any selling or booking requirements, ongoing costs and how the website may change. If you already have a site, I review it before recommending a rebuild.
You can explore my clearly labelled demonstration projects to see layout ideas. They show design possibilities rather than completed client commissions.
Explore the demonstration projects ↗We agree the work and keep the next step clear. No technical brief is needed to start the conversation.
We discuss your audience, existing website, priorities and examples you like. I turn that into an agreed brief and page plan.
I develop the visual direction and important page layouts, with agreed opportunities for you to review and give feedback.
The approved design becomes a working website. Content, mobile layouts, forms and links are checked before launch.
We agree the launch steps and cover the editing tasks you need. Ongoing content or website support can be arranged separately.
Your quote sets out the pages, features, content responsibilities, feedback stages and launch support. Hosting, domains, paid themes, plugins and subscriptions are identified where relevant. Delivery depends on the agreed scope and on receiving content and approvals.
Send your website address if you have one, a short description of your business, the main thing you want visitors to do and any target date. An approximate budget helps me suggest an appropriate approach.

Ask me a question ↗I quote for the work you actually need. The number of pages, design requirements, content and features all affect the price. Send me a little about your business and I can clarify the scope before giving you a proposal.
Yes. I first look at the current design, platform and content. Sometimes a focused refresh makes sense; sometimes a rebuild is a better fit. Important existing pages and any changes to their addresses are considered in the plan.
No, but we need a content plan. I can help you work out what is missing and organise the material you have. Copywriting, image sourcing and content entry are agreed as part of the scope.
That is part of the platform discussion. Where the project includes an editable website, I show you the agreed everyday tasks, such as changing text, replacing images or adding a page.
I consider clear headings, readable layouts, contrast, keyboard use and sensible page structure. Any formal accessibility audit or specific compliance requirement needs its own agreed scope. Ongoing SEO is available as a separate service.
We agree handover and launch support before starting. If you would like help with new pages, content changes or future improvements, my website and content support service can keep things moving.
